Low voltage motors are the lifeblood of industry.

DELBA’s Small Machines division repairs and maintains low voltage rotating machines up to 1 000 V, in a facility built specifically for the job — a dedicated mechanical shop for disassembly and mechanical repair, a dedicated electrical shop for rewinding, testing and troubleshooting, and everything in between under the same roof.

The industries we serve are, mining and mineral processing, petrochemical and refining, water and wastewater, cement and aggregate, steel, sugar, pulp and paper, food and beverage, general manufacturing, agriculture, and commercial building services.

Two-shop layout

a mechanical shop equipped for disassembling, accessing and repairing rotating machines, and an electrical shop dedicated to rewinding, testing and troubleshooting stators and rotors.

Crane capacity

12.5 t plus 10 t (2 x 5 t) SWF hoist gantries with long and cross travel and complete floor coverage in the mechanical workshop, and 10 t plus 3.2 t gantries with complete floor coverage in the LV electrical workshop — enough to handle the largest low voltage motors safely.

Burnout oven

a pyrolytic gas-fired kiln with PLC control, water quenching and temperature chart recorders, 3 m wide x 3 m high x 4 m deep.

Vacuum pressure impregnation

windings impregnated under vacuum and pressure for insulation integrity that dipping cannot match.

Curing oven

gas-fired with digital control and temperature chart recording, 1.4 m wide x 2.6 m high x 5.5 m deep.

Balancing machine

rotors precisely balanced to reduce bearing stress and improve efficiency.

Test bay

advanced testing equipment evaluating performance, efficiency and adherence to specification before any machine is released.

Spray booth

protective coatings applied to guard against corrosion and wear in the environment the machine returns to.
